The transformation of the house is always a crucial task for all of us. Hollywood actress Sophia faced the same trouble while transforming her mid-century house into a charming place. Bush transformed her home to make it a property of her dreams with the ELLE decor and a creative design team. To live the best life in and around LA, one needs a perfect modernist house. This is the truism that the TV star Sophia Bush is currently sticking to. Therefore, she remodeled!
Transformation of the midcentury bungalow
Bush lovingly renovated her 1600 square foot 1950s bungalow in the Hollywood Hills. She further exclaims that restoring the home and bringing it back to its midcentury brilliance was such a joy.
The home is next door to the house where she lives, which makes it a comfortable ambiance for the celebrity of this teen drama One Tree Hill and the forthcoming Disney+ series Love, Simon. Her neighbors had bought the property in the 1950s. They had built the home for themselves, which gave an added sense of credibility and familiarity with the property.
Bush believed that she just need to decorate and lightly renovate the house when she realized th
at patina and background does not necessarily equate to architectural soundness. The base turned out to be irregular, and the pipes needed upgrading.
She isn’t easily intimidated, as shown by her activism for causes like gun control and voting rights. She says that once she understood that they had been looking at a teardown, they could start imagining a new flow for the distance. She enlisted an interior designer, contractor, and a landscaper in collaboration with the ELLE Decor to get started.
The new design
Bush and the contractor kept the footprint of the home and left the rooms and guest bathrooms in their original places. Everything else that was left in the layout was reimagined. Crucial to the design was an open center that connected the dining and living room.
